My Nieces Laura and Gretchen

The lord is good. He has called my nieces Laura and Gretchen to the mission field. They will be going to Vanutu. Its an island to the east of Australia. They will be starting a new ministry out there along with two other families. Gretchen is married and has two children. Laura is single. Together with two other families they hope to bring the Gospel to many unsaved. I think that is so cool. Check out Laura's blog site at http://psalm96three.blogspot.com/

A new year

A new year has begun and with it a new blog. I hope to keep this blog up and add to it often. If I have not written in it than keep me honest and tell me I am being lazy.
We had a pretty good Christmas and New Years. It was also very busy because of Travis and Christy. They had bought a house the end of November and we helped them with the painting, refinishing floors, installing a lot of different things including lights, window blinds, mail boxes, door bells, doing plumbing and a dozen other things. They still have work to do. They live in the top floor and are renting out the lower floor.
Than Christy went into labor the evening of Dec 28th and on Dec 30th at 3:05 AM gave birth to a girl, Ariel Joy who weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 20 in long. She is a healthy baby and everyone is fine.
During Christmas, before the baby arrived, we got together as a family at Christy and Travis' new house and all the kids and grand kids were there. It was fun. I will try to find out how to add pictures to this blog site someplace so you can see our family.
